Clinical Significance:
Identifies pCAM, a glycoprotein expressed in the vast majority of adenocarcinoma and almost always negative in mesothelioma (negative). Best used as part of a panel including antibodies to other glycoproteins such as the MOC-31 antibody to epithelial glycoprotein-2 and the Bg8-defined Lewis Y antigen.
