CD35

Methodology: IHC

Clinical Significance:
CD35 is a follicular dendritic cell surface-associated protein. CD35 expression is present in a sharply defined FDC meshwork in many follicular lymphomas (e.g. centroblastic/centrocytic lymphoma) and a loose, ill-defined FDC meshwork of varying size in some diffuse lymphomas (most constantly in centrocytic lymphomas). A nodular form of lymphocyte-predominant type of Hodgkin disease (LPHD) is the only category of Hodgkin disease that has a characteristic meshwork of FDC. CD35 is also expressed on monocytes, neutrophils, and B cells.
