CD7

Methodology: IHC

Clinical Significance:
CD7 is a cell surface-associated protein expressed in both mature and immature T cells, as well as NK cells. CD7 is aberrantly decreased in a subset of T cell and natural killer cell neoplasms. In addition, a significant subset of myeloid stem cell neoplasms, including acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic or myeloproliferative syndromes, demonstrates aberrant coexpression of CD7 on the myeloid blasts.
