ERG

Methodology: IHC

Clinical Significance:
ERG is a member of the ETS transcription factor gene family, whose members also include FLI1 and ETS1. It is strongly expressed in endothelial cells and is a highly sensitive and specific marker of vascular neoplasms. Amongst carcinomas, expression of ERG is highly restricted to a subset (40-50%) of prostatic adenocarcinomas.
