GCET1 pin

Alternate Test Names:
Germinal Center B-Cell-Expressed Transcript-1

Methodology: IHC

Clinical Significance:
Identifies: GCET1, a cytoplasmic protein that is relatively specific for normal germinal center B cells and germinal center-derived B cell neoplasms, including follicular lymphoma, Burkitt lymphoma, a subset of diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma. GCET is also used as part of a panel of markers in immunohistochemical distinction of germinal center-derived DLBCL from non-germinal center-derived DLBCL.

Subcellular Localization: Cytoplasmic (secretory), granular, with frequent Golgi staining
