Clinical Significance:
Identifies: HHV8 latent nuclear antigen, or LANA, a nuclear protein expressed by cells infected with HHV8. It is expressed in both Kaposi's sarcoma as well as HHV8-associated lymphoproliferative disorders, including primary effusion lymphomas and multicentric Castleman's disease.
