Non Hodgkin Lymphoma (Indolent B-NHL) Panel - Wet pin

FISH

Panel Components:
IgH breakapart
t(14;18) IGH/BCL2
BCL6 breakapart
t(11;14) CCND1/IGH
* Panel makeup subject to change

Methodology: FISH

Clinical Significance:
These FISH studies identify the genetic alteration characteristic of several major categories of non Hodgkin B cell lymphoma. These include the t(14;18) IGH/BCL2 and BCL6 family of rearrangements identified in follicular lymphomas, the t(11;14) identified in mantle cell lymphoma. The identification of an IGH rearrangement in isolation can also aid in the diagnosis of atypical lymphoid proliferations even when its translocation partner is not elucidated.
