Identifies: A nuclear protein (NUT) expressed normally in germ cells of the testis and ovary. NUT midline carcinoma (NMC) is defined by the presence of chromosomal rearrangement involving the NUT gene on chromosome 15q14 and immunohistochemically detectable expression of the NUT protein.
