Identifies: Podoplanin, a marker of lymphatic endothelium, as well as neoplasms such as Kaposi’s sarcoma. In the context of epithelial tumors, podoplanin has also been demonstrated to be a highly sensitive marker of mesothelium and mesothelioma, complementing other markers such as calretinin and the Wilms tumor gene product.
